Program Professional Framework
Advanced Cementing and Completion Design & Operations
Program Overview
Zonal isolation and completion integrity determine whether a well produces safely for decades or needs costly remedial work. This course links primary cementing and completion design into one integrity-focused workflow: cement slurry design and laboratory testing to API Spec 10A and API RP 10B, spacer and mud removal design, centralisation and displacement, gas migration control, cement evaluation with CBL/VDL and ultrasonic tools, and remedial squeeze and plug operations. The completion part covers tubing and packer selection, completion fluids, perforating and installation operations, with well barrier principles applied throughout.
Learning Outcomes

Training Methodology
Applied Project & Assessment
Applied Project
Participants prepare an integrated cementing and completion programme for a production casing and completion in a GCC carbonate well, including slurry design and test requirements, a centralisation plan, cement evaluation criteria, a completion schematic and a barrier diagram.
Assessment
Short diagnostic at the start, practical tasks linked to each learning outcome, and evaluation of the applied project against published criteria.
