Program Professional Framework
Cased Hole Logging & Formation Evaluation
Program Overview
Once a well is cased, logging remains the main way to track saturation changes, locate bypassed oil, verify cement and monitor casing condition. This course covers cased hole measurements and their interpretation: pulsed neutron capture (sigma) and carbon/oxygen logging for saturation monitoring, cased hole neutron and gamma ray, cement bond and ultrasonic evaluation, corrosion logging with multi-finger calipers and electromagnetic tools, and an introduction to production logging. Participants integrate cased hole results with open hole data to evaluate formations behind pipe and support workover and surveillance decisions in mature waterflooded fields.

Training Methodology
Applied Project & Assessment
Applied Project
Participants interpret a provided cased hole dataset from a waterflooded Gulf reservoir, including sigma, cement and caliper logs, and present a well evaluation with saturation changes, integrity findings and a recommended workover or surveillance action.
Assessment
Short diagnostic at the start, practical tasks linked to each learning outcome, and evaluation of the applied project against published criteria.
