Program Professional Framework
Emotional Intelligence – Think Like a Leader
Program Overview
Leaders set the emotional climate of their teams, and that climate influences engagement, performance and retention. This program focuses on emotional intelligence as a leadership capability: understanding how a leader's moods and reactions spread through a team, choosing leadership styles deliberately, regulating emotions during pressure and crisis, reading team dynamics, and using empathy to motivate, coach and resolve conflict. Drawing on Goleman's leadership styles and resonant leadership, participants work on scenarios from Gulf workplaces, such as leading multicultural teams and handling senior stakeholder pressure.
